هدف قسم ضمان الجودة وتقويم الاداء إلى تحقيق واستمرار جودة الأداء المؤسسي والأكاديمي بكليات الجامعة بما يضمن الارتقاء المستمر بجودة العملية التعـليمية والأنشطة البحثية والخدمات المجتمعية في ضوء المعايير المحلية والعالمية، وبما يحقق رسالة الجامعة وأهدافها الإستراتيجية. وكذلك تأهيل الجامعة وكلياتها للاعتماد من خلال تطوير نظم متكاملة للمراجعة الداخلية والتقويم الذاتي وخلق وعي ايجابي بين منسوبي الجامعة وكافة الأطراف ذات الصلة تجاه فكر التقويم والتطوير المستمر اعتمادا على قدرات بشرية ذات كفاءات متميزة ونظم وآليات قياس معترف بها محليا وعالميا.

Vision

The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance seeks to organize activities that represent the gateway to the openness of scientific sobriety, excellence and creativity globally.

Objectives

The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance adopts quality standards and continuous improvement to reach academic accreditation

1. Spreading the culture of quality and performance evaluation among faculty members, students, and employees by organizing panel discussions, workshops and training courses and sessions concerned with evaluating the university's performance and ensuring quality
2. Evaluating the educational process by measuring performance indicators for the input processes and outputs of the learning process (faculty staff - students - staff - scientific research processes - design of study programs and curriculams - educational support services - social and cultural climate within the university....etc). Establishing the structure of a system and mechanisms to ensure quality that is commensurate with the university’s privacy, policies and orientations, provided that the form of its design makes the student the primary goal in it

Excellence in university performance and continuous development and improvement of the educational processes to advance its objectives and reach international standards of quality
4. Making the most of all the university's capabilities and resources, with the participation of all university employees, to meet the needs of society and the requirements of the labor market
5. Spreading the culture and concepts of quality among faculty members, students and university employees
6. Directing the educational process at the university towards the use of modern means and methods to raise the level of the educational processes

Work summary of the department

1- Preparing the necessary tools for performance evaluation and quality assurance to include the mechanisms, standards, policies and procedural steps necessary to implement the educational and total quality management system at the university
2. Establishing an information base and integrated files for all the programs and courses and all the degrees offered by the university in preparation for the adoption in alignment with international standards and the competent local and global Bodies.
-3 Determining the strengths and weaknesses in the futuristic capabilities and study programs offered by the university, presenting proposals and appropriate means to execute and follow them, setting action plans and determining the necessary prerequisites for them.
4 - Circulating the calendar files approved by the Ministry and following up on ensuring access to accurate and regular information.
5- Conducting evaluation studies and analyzing the results of the data of the evaluated files and benefiting from them in achieving the desired frequency of development.
6- Exchanging experiences and ideas for the overall development of the university education with similar departments in Iraqi, Arab and international universities and benefiting from them in achieving the aimed development.
7 . Follow-up regarding the development of the university's faculties and their programs and regulations to bring their graduates to a distinguished level among graduates of the corresponding faculties and institutes in order to achieve their high competitiveness in the local, Arab and international labor market.
8- Preparing and following-up training programs that contribute to the application of internal quality assurance mechanisms and the professional growth of faculty members in relation to program and course files and in the use of educational tools.

Department/Division for future plans.

1- Spreading the culture of quality at all administrative levels, employees, faculty and students to create the appropriate environment for the application and create a state of total commitment to total quality.
2- Achieving full conviction on the part of faculty members of the importance of total quality and ensuring the quality of university performance through holding seminars, workshops and training sessions.
3- Determining the mechanisms and setting the policies and procedures necessary to implement the strategy for evaluating university performance and ensuring educational and overall quality.
4- Coordination and direct follow-up of the work to ensure the quality of university performance in faculties and the extent of their effectiveness in implementing the devised action plan to ensure the quality of university performance through the analysis and evaluation of the periodic reports of these divisions.
5- Follow up the executive plans of the university's quality assurance programs.
6- Managing and Carrying out the work of external quality control in the faculties and monitoring and implementing quality assurance mechanisms.
